The policies and procedures here set how the Director, staff and Trustees will run the organisation. They are all reviewed regularly. Whilst every effort is made to keep them up to date on the website, if you need to be certain of having the most up to date version, please get in contact via the contact page and we’ll email you the latest version.

Governance

This set of policies focusses on the Trustees; what is expected of them and how they will carry out their legal obligations to both Companies House and The Charity Commission. They set out our service standards, how we manage risk and what we will do should things go wrong outside our control.

People

Staff and volunteers are the company’s most important asset. These policies set out how Millennium Farm Trust will recruit, support and develop the people it employs. They also set out the standards we expect from our staff and what staff should do if they wish to make a complaint against the company or another staff member.

Finance

Finance policies set out how the Millennium Farm Trust will charge for the services it provides and how it will manage its money and assets.

General

Farms are dangerous and highly regulated places. The people who come to us are often particularly vulnerable. These policies set out our obligations to keep everyone on the farm safe from harm and ensure their wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. They also set out responsibilities towards the land and the animals we keep.
